Portable, lightweight, and easy to use, the Bissell PowerSteamer PowerBrush Upright Deep Cleaner protects and extends carpet life by removing deep-down grit and stains, using just hot tap water, deep-cleaning detergent, and its five-row rotating DirtLifter PowerBrush. In addition to leaving carpets clean, odor-free, and gently groomed for a polished look, the unit can also be used to clean bare floors, stairs, and upholstery. Useful tools include a 3-inch tough-stain tool, a two-in-one spraying crevice tool, and a bare-floor tool. The unit's 3/4-gallon two-in-one water-tank system features a heavy-duty bladder inside for clean water, which empties and mixes with the cleaning formula during operation. The dirty water that gets pulled out of the carpets collects around the outside of the bladder, which means the clean and dirty water never mix. Other thoughtful details include a comfortable handle, quick-release cord hooks, a lint screen, and easy-to-maneuver wheels, as well as a built-in measuring cup and a removable nozzle for quick cleanup. Leonard I had bought this for my wife after a lengthy search on the internet and we've not been disappointed. The first occasion to use it came after one of our four legged pets had an accident on our beige rug. It loads easily and it's handy how the clean water and the waste water share space on the small, cartridge. It's surprisingly light weight too. We'd had a Bissell previously from about 10 years ago and that was a large, 4 wheeled item that you pulled behind you. As I recall that cleaned pretty well but all the water fittings leaked no matter how hard you tightened them. I'm glad to say that this Bissell cleans even better and there are no leaks to be seen. By Eve I bought this thinking that it would help pick up the stains on my carpet but instead it did a light wash. This machines seems to shampoo the carpet but not clean it very well. It picks up a little dirt but overall it doesn't get out the dirt from heavy foot traffic or previous stains. Good value dep cleaner By Ethan King A lot of the previous reviewers' complaints were about leaving fuzzballs or other things after using this vacuum, but what they fail to mention is that with every wet vac, you're supposed to run a regular dry vacuum over the carpet before hand. This would have an effect on how much extra work the vacuum needs to do. While the vacuum did remove lodged-in dog hair, it would leave said hair in clumps on the ground. It was easy to pick up and throw away, but I agree the hair should have been sucked into the tank instead of deposited on the ground. That being said, this vacuum is great at picking up embedded dirt and making sure the carpet is dry afterwards. After running the cleaner over the rug several times,the rug was still moist, but was relatively dry the next morning. Depending on how soiled your rug/carpet is, you may need to continue passing the cleaner over it to truly get it clean.
